Established in 1908 as the second golf club chartered in Grand Rapids, The Highlands was redesigned in 1916 by Donald Ross, one of the world’s foremost golf architects.

It just doesn’t get any better than this. Hole #8 at the Highlands.

The Highlands’ timeless design epitomizes Ross’ philosophy that “a golf course should be subtly deceptive, rather than unduly penalizing…a true test for the skilled players, yet enjoyable for golfers of all abilities.”

Rich in tradition, The Highlands hosted Senior PGA tournaments from 1986 to 1993. The event attracted such golf legends as Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Billy Casper, Chi-Chi Rodriguez and Lee Trevino.
